Prez endorses congressional DOMA repeal; DOMA continues to endorse federal discrimination

Good news for DOMA repeal momentum:

BREAKING: President Obama endorses the Respect for Marriage Act [Prop 8 Trial Tracker]

"Why is this a big deal? Because the White House rarely, if ever, endorses legislation that hasn’t passed a house of Congress… and this one hasn’t even passed committee yet."

A nice development, for sure. Now the next logical step: For the President to drop his own, untenable defense of civil unions act.
