Audio: Tony Perkins' soul mate

by Jeremy Hooper

If you've ever wondered where the Family Research Council's Tony Perkins gets his extreme (yet mainstream-media-sanctioned) rhetoric, then I'm here to give you some insight. All of these clips come from Brother Dennis Terry, the pastor of Tony Perkins' home church:

#1: Comparing gays to alcoholics, drug users, liars, and thieves, all of whom are cast out of heaven:

#2: "Simply a perversion":

#3: "No human being has ever been born gay," says non-science:

#4: Gays can and should "change," professional "ex-gay" advocate Joseph Nicolosi says so:

#5: More equating us with alcoholics, before moving on to a clumsy attempt at a pedophilia link:

#6: Gays are coming after your children and grandchildren:

#7: Sexually transmitted diseases are God's punishment:

This is what has guided Mr. Perkins since he joined the church sometime around the year 2000. Tony even fills in for Terry on occasion.

The major difference between the two? Only Tony has access to every leading GOP presidential candidate and gets booked on mainstream media channels.
