NOM's blog writer vs. 'endorsing gay lifestyle'

by Jeremy Hooper

Yesterday I showed you how NOM's key staffer and blog writer Thomas Peters was pushing an "excellent" interview with the head of the Catholic "gays shouldn't be gay" organization, mistakenly called Courage. Well now check this out. That same Thomas Peters is now condemning Simon & Shuster for pushing a promotional video for humorist David Javerbaum's upcoming God book, chastising the publisher for suggesting that the title deity endorses the "gay lifestyle"

Which is just another perfect example of the rapidly changing, increasingly fringe National Organization For Marriage. Every day we are seeing NOM's staff come out more and more against not only marriage equality, but "the gay lifestyle" itself. They are growing ever-personal with their condemnations, proving that, if left to their own devices, NOM's game would not really end at simple "marriage protection."

Maybe I'm wrong and maybe this really is smart strategy on NOM's part. But somehow I don't think voters in North Carolina, Minnesota, and any of the other yet-to-be-determined states where NOM will spearhead the effort to put our rights on a 2012 ballot will sign on to a group that's becoming a radical voice for gay "change"/ against the "gay lifestyle." And you can be damn certain that I'll dedicate every last ounce of energy to ensuring as many voters as possible know that this is what they truly believe.
