Video: Ellen's truth = most hate mail ever? O.
Oprah Winfrey says that in the twenty year history of her show, she never received more hate mail than after her 1997 interview with Ellen Degeneres. That's pretty nuts, when you think about (a) all of the shows Oprah did on any number of truly controversial topics, and (b) how far we've come in the fourteen years since. Ellen is a Cover Girl model now, for Portia's sakes!
