Brian Brown's outraged at legislative drive (*unless it's in reverse)

by Jeremy Hooper

6A00D8341C503453Ef013488664172970CNOM President Brian Brown manages to display astounding hypocrisy in just two sentences:

In both Washington and New Jersey the Democrats have decided, in the middle of an economic collapse causing budget crises, to make pushing a gay marriage bill their number one priority.

Marriage Battles Heating Up, NOM Marriage News, January 20, 2012 [NOM]

So wait, it's irresponsible to carve out a relatively brief period of time to remedy civil discrimination in the law, but it's perfectly fine to carve out a comparatively lengthy period of time -- which will involve multiple votes, a promised veto, and a veto override vote -- to TAKE AWAY A FAIRLY EARNED RIGHT?!?!?!?!? Do you even hear yourself, Brian?!
