#MarryME, Take Two
As you've probably heard by now, the signatures have been confirmed in Maine. We're going back to the ballot this November to take back the fairly passed, fairly signed marriage equality that was stolen from us in '09:

Last time, as you'll surely remember, the anti-equality side used all kinds of fibs about schools and marriage's supposed effect on inclusive teaching, as if knowledge of LGBT people somehow hinges on this one right. Whether or not they'll stick with the hyperbole that even their own campaign head later admitted to be misleading remains to be seen.
But really, what else do they have -- fear that we're going to force folks to do the chicken dance at our weddings? Let's get real: Scaring people about kids is this movement's decades-old bread and butter. But the thing is, we really don't have to fear it. In this, an era where protecting targeted kids is on everyone's lips, we should be able to *win* on this point! And in fact, I would argue that our opponents are going to have to be very careful about how they message the schools thing.
