READ: Maine's Bishop Malone issues lengthy statement on marriage, discrimination, Catholic Church's aggressive unwillingness to respect church/state lines
Bishop Malone was instrumental in rolling back equality in Maine in '09. Now, as we head back to the ballot in that state, The Bishop's upping the faithful ante:
According to the AP, this is part of the local church's outreach during this cycle, where the focus will be more on behind the scenes information campaigns than it will be on (open) campaigning. We'll see.
