Leonard Goenaga mad that we noted reality; yet is fine with Steve Noble calling us 'shameful and sick' #4marriagenc #amendment1

by Jeremy Hooper

On April 10, Vote For Marriage NC Grassroots Director Leonard Goenaga listened in as truly extreme radio host Steve Noble said gays are on "a cultural revolution redefine everything that is good and just and proper and clean and moral" so that we can deny that what we are doing is "wrong, deviant, hurtful, ugly, shameful and sick." When Noble finished said diatribe, Goenaga agreed with an affirmative "Yeah," before building on Noble's ignoble thoughts and connecting them right back to the campaign. Listen in:

Now, in a truly misdirected turn, this same Leonard Goenaga is going after me, Pam Spaulding, and others for simply noting that Vote For Marriage NC's aggressive attempt to use Brian Brown's ActRight Site as a fundraiser has failed miserably:

Vote for Marriage NC is angry its sad money bomb effort was mocked as a #FAIL on Twitter [Pam's House Blend]

But you know what? I'd probably be upset too. As of yesterday, Vote For Marriage NC had only drummed up $440 through the ActRight site (the only published path they were using to "money bomb" for billboards, despite what they now claim). Over night, that total only inched up to $915. That's a terrible failure, and I'd be upset too if the other side ever pointed that out in regard to the marriage equality movement's own online fundraising missteps.

It's just that our efforts rarely fail in such an obvious way.
