NOM's latest attempt to save @DumpStarbucks? Pushing Liberty Counsel's 'homosexuality is immoral' claim

by Jeremy Hooper

These are just some snippets from the Liberty Counsel's latest action blast:

"[W]e must consider God’s desire for us in not becoming unequally yoked with unbelievers."

"Christians with biblical values take the opposite positions as HRC."

"[H]omosexuality is an immoral same-sex sexual preference"

"Christians are called to engage people and engage culture. In America, we’re given special privileges and opportunities to keep the government from interfering with the dissemination of the Gospel. We have the opportunity to vote for Christian men and women for political office, like the leaders from the Bible: David, Deborah, and Esther. Individuals that God is calling to leadership for such a time as this, a time where distractions are prevalent and the government is doing little more than creating intellectual obstacles to understanding God’s design for marriage, life, and faith by normalizing sinful behaviors, legalizing the murder of unborn babies, and silencing those who wish to speak Truth into the lives of fellow Americans."

Or as the once pragmatic but now increasingly fringe National Organization For Marriage calls this very same "homosexuality is an immoral..preference" action blast: the basis of its latest blog post:

DumpStarbucks.com: Liberty Counsel Action Edition [NOM Blog]

Look, NOM, I know your Starbucks boycott has been an unmitigated disaster. But going the anti-gay, anti-unbeliever route? Probably not the smartest track for an organization that is spearheading so many ballot campaigns where the movable middle holds critical sway!
