Video: Gay Sims are programmed that way

Yesterday, I told you how the the EA video game behemoth is taking a stand against anti-LGBT activists. Now, via Towleroad, comes this ad for EA's "Sims 3," in which two male soldiers are shown loving on one another (at :31 mark):

It's actually kind of powerful to see the Sims making such a statement. This is a game franchise that aims to emulate life's reality as closely as possible, working off the learned study of normalcy's true spectrum. The easy and respectful inclusion of LGBT people not only reflects reality but also helps bely the far-right fantasy scripts that'd cast us out of all realms, virtual or mortal.
