About that DA in the latest Amendment 1 ad…

When it comes to the marriage conversation, Rockingham County Phil Berger Jr. is not just some objective legal voice. Over the past year or so, he has tweeted in favor of both local and federal measures that make marriage equality less achievable for same-sex couples:

So when you see the Vote For Marriage NC campaign using this same Phil Berger, Jr. as if he represents a "prosecutor and law enforcement" monolith….

…don't buy it! He is not just a DA—he is a campaign supporter! That's not a minor point.

**MORE: The DA's father, Phil Berger, is the President Pro Tem of the North Carolina Senate and one of the major forces behind the marriage amendment!
