Audio: Vote For Marriage NC chair says Amendment 1 prevents 'govt. license to homosexual behavior' for 'one or two gay couples'

by Jeremy Hooper

Vote For Marriage NC's campaign chair, Tami Fitzgerald:

[Michael Brown's "Line of Fire" show]

Hey, Tami—insider's tip: we're not waiting for you to allow us a "government license to homosexual behavior." Refreshing that you would frame it that way, sure. But "win" or lose next Tuesday, LGBT Americans will be as free to love as ever before.

Oh, and Tami: Thanks to the overplayed hand of what has shaped up to be the most jaw-droppingly hostile, nakedly animus-driven marriage campaign to ever hit any of our states, it's a certainty that your efforts will actually aid us in all of our upcoming fights, as well as the next time we have to take this fight to the independent judiciary. Perhaps even right there in good ol' NC.
