Protect Marriage Maine devalues role of stock photo moms

by Jeremy Hooper

Joining Mike Heath's already-launched Gay Marriage House of Horrors site, the so-called Protect Marriage Maine coalition has launched their own site designed to stop marriage equality in the Pine State.

The site is really boring overall, featuring verbatim reproductions of the same NOM-workshopped talking points that we've seen in every other state where we're on the ballot this year. However, there is one notable part of the site. Namely, the apparent lack of regard that these "pro-family" Mainers have for their stock photo mother and brunette daughter:

What the hell, PMM? Isn't your message all about kids needing a mother and a father? So why such callous disregard for this paid model matriarch (not to mention brunette child)? Don't hired stock photo subjects need their parents too?

Then again, considering this photo comes to us from Polish photographer Marzanna Syncer, meaning that this cropped family is most likely not registered to vote in America, much less Maine, I guess it's unlikely that our mock-up mommy is going to hold it against the campaign.
