Militant FRC puts gay soldiers at war with 'heroes'; callous disregard at war with rational conversation

by Jeremy Hooper

The Family Research Council continues to push the dangerous, offensive, and false dichotomy between gay soldiers who both love their country and someone of the same gender, and the straight "heroes" who must be protected from the dripping rainbow colors that are flooding the U.S. Military:

While Americans were busy celebrating the heroes of D-Day, the military was coping with its own invasion of federal marriage law.

The irony is that the vast majority of gay soldiers would proudly fight to defend the right of Tony Perkins and his colleagues in condemnatory cash-cowdom to speak out against their lives and loves. And it's not because we gays are better about taking the high road, either. It's because this thoroughly American equality fight has the high road inextricably built into it.
