Minnesota For Marriage's campaign adjunct: 'Accepting homosexuals as 'normal' victimizes homosexuals themselves'

by Jeremy Hooper

About a year ago, I showed you some documents that the Minnesota Family Council was using to support a same-sex marriage ban, but that the organization quickly scrubbed once I pointed out how personally hostile and downright heinous the fallacious documents are. To remind you what they look like:

Nasty stuff that would threaten any campaign that needs to make a public case to the movable middle, which is precisely why the Minnesota Marriage Alliance hid these lobbying tools. But is the mindset really any different now than it was then? Well consider the following.

If you look at the final passage of the second document, you will see that all of this info was compiled by a man named Roger Magnuson. He's not that familiar of a name nationally, but he has made a few waves. He's especially made some noise in his home state of Minnesota.

So how is Mr. Magnuson, the purveyor of all of the above untruths, engaged now? Oh. Well. Didn't I tell you? Mr. Magnuson is working with the Minnesota For Marriage campaign as a "lawyer for marriage":

Yes, that's right: A man who wrote that "accepting homosexuals as 'normal' victimizes homosexuals themselves" is on the EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE! This is the kind of voice that Minnesota For Marriage thinks needs to not only be heard, but to also make key decisions in terms of the marriage amendment campaign. An adjunct to the campaign, they call Mr. Magnuson.

Good to know!
