Video: MN Priest detaches canon law from civil law, discrimination from values

Father Bob Pierson believes in God in general and the Catholic faith in particular. In a refreshing turn, the twenty-eight year priest also believes on church/state separation, extending rather than slighting love, and only amending civil constitutions when the amendment's backers have made a reasonable case.

For all of those reasons and more, Father Pierson encourages all Minnesotans to vote no on the state's anti-gay marriage ban:

"I believe the church does not have the right to force its moral teaching on others outside the fold."
