Because NOM owns marriage, if you didn't already know.

Last night, while addressing an America where gays have been scapegoats for far too long, President Obama was sure to chastise those who are so deadset on blaming certain groups for our problems here at home. So what does the National Organization For Marriage do? Well that blame-eager organization instantly fundraises off the idea that marriage equality activists and President Obama are out to destroy marriage for everyone else, natch:
