Maryland Marriage Alliance promotes 'gay=disordered' group, speaker

by Jeremy Hooper

This is how the Theology of the Body Institute views LGB people:

This isn't just against marriage—this is telling people that gay people are innately broken. Biologically flawed. Intrinsically sinful.

So why do I tell you what this organization has to say about us? Oh, well–because this Saturday, the Maryland Marriage Alliance campaign that is trying to stop civil marriage equality in Maryland, is playing host to the Executive Director of this very same Theology of the Body Institute, Damon Owens:

So basically, the campaign that's working to rollback *CIVIL* freedoms will appear in a Baptist church where a Catholic speaker who sees gays as intrinsically disordered will work to turn out the vote.

Well, at least we gave church/state separation the old college try. A shame we couldn't keep it.
