NOM's Thomas Peters can't wait to 'slay' the Washington activists

He's trying to explain away this headline on Twitter (notably, with my buddy Zack Ford of Think Progress). But I think the imagery is pretty darn clear:

Probably easy for Thomas to see this as metaphorical, since he has no real human stake in the outcome. It's all just a game for him—one that pays his bills.

For the human beings in Washington who are trying to protect their rights and families (aka the "Goliath" fighting for marriage in that state)? They probably don't take too kindly to "slay" talk. As a marriage gay man, I know I don't.
