Video: Caller admonishes Bob Vander Plaats for nasty tone; Bob's pal Jan Mickelson replies with reliably nasty tone

by Jeremy Hooper

Shirley couldn't believe what she heard Bob Vander Plaats say at a district meeting of Republican women, so Shirley called to let him know. Bob, who we all know to be quite hostile (he's directly compared homosexuality to playing dodge ball in a busy street), proceeds to dodge and dive around Shirley's recollections. But then, as if to prove Shirley's point, Bob's close ally and frequent media outreach voice, Jan Mickelson, proceeds to condemn gays in the harshest words available to him (gay "lifestyle" is "way past snicker—just absurd").
