Oh sorry, NOM—we've all been judging you by your actions. Our bad.
Check out this bull:
Um, except for the fact that in NOM's five years of existence, the organization has dedicated maybe .2% of its work (if I'm being generous) to something other than stopping gays from marrying. This isn't an organization that has fought divorce, worked to stop out-of-wedlock births, launched generally pro-marriage ad campaigns to rival the ones they run to stop same-gender marriages, or dedicated even a tiny fraction of their millions of expended dollars toward causes beyond marriage equality for gays. That has been their sole fight.
But of course like so many other groups on their side, NOM wants to have it both ways. They want to name reality rather than lie in the bed of their own creation. They want to use rhetoric to tell us all what has been rather than trust the organic opinions that their own body of work formed within the public consciousness. They want to have their supposedly well-rounded cakes while exclusively destroying gay people's wedding cakes too.
Ugh. Just go away, awful organization.
