'Defend Marriage Lobby Day' was an 'ex-gay' event (#IL4M #ILequality #RealAgenda)

by Jeremy Hooper

I told you that the Illinois Family Institute's "defend marriage lobby day" was going to reveal its host organization's true agenda of "changing" gay people. Now, a day later, here's the IFI proudly embracing the hostile message that they proudly embraced:

201302211154 [Illinois Family Institute]

Linda Jernigan claims that the Devil has stolen gay people identities, that gays have to be inebriated in order to have sex, and that Satan is the root cause of the LGBT rights fight (much more here). That is what is going on here. It's not about marriage—this is an attempt to turn Illinois citizens against LGBT people as people.

Usually I hope for lawmakers to ignore events like the one they IFI held yesterday. In this case? I hope they—and in the on-the-fence ones, in particular—were paying very close attention!
