What's acceptable on NOM's March For Marriage page?
When a user mentioned a concrete fact...
…his comment was instantly banned. Which is ridiculous. I mean, you don't even have to agree with the SPLC to realize that the organization has, quite verifiably, determined the Family Research Council to meet the high bar of "hate group" status. It just is, regardless of what value you place on that determination.
Nevertheless, NOM deleted that comment within minutes. NOM has not, however, deleted the final comment below, which has been up for more than seven hours:
So it's not okay to mention a concrete tangible about FRC, but it's perfectly okay to call gays unfortunate, disordered, and unnatural? Huh. That's good to know, as far as it goes.
Hopefully the lawyers defending NOM's position in court will use this same standard, exalting crystal clear animus above grounded information. I'd personally love to see the lawyers present the same kind of crap we see day in and day out to the body of nine justices and let the chips fall where they may.
