Audio: Prop 8's most prominent pastor tells Christians to become like Nazi-fighting Bonhoeffer

by Jeremy Hooper

Dietrich Bonhoeffer fought Nazis. It's what he did. The pastor rose up against Hitler's genocide, and was himself ultimately imprisoned at a Nazi concentration camp and the executed precisely because of his attempts to crush the Holocaust.

So what is Bonhoeffer's modern parallel, you ask? Oh. Well. That would be Christians who need to rise up against an America that allows same-sex marriage, of course. At least according to Jim Garlow, one of the most influential pastors behind Proposition 8:

One of Bonhoeffer's best known actions involved failed plotting to assassinate Hitler. I will leave it there.
