FRC uses Matthew Shepard's murder to make its 'traditional marriage' case

by Jeremy Hooper

And they even spell his name wrong:

"But we have to stand firm and push back. Marriage is a blessing to families. Three-quarters of the teen rapists in our prisons are fatherless young men, so are two-thirds of the teen murderers. Even gay martyr Matthew Shepherd [sic] was killed by two fatherless young men. Marriage bashes no one. Marriage benefits everyone."

Family Research Council's Bob Morrison, writing on NOM's marriage march

Because ya see, it wasn't anti-gay sentiment (i.e. something FRC cultivates) that killed Matt. No, no—it was not enough "traditional marriage" advocacy.

Disgusting.
