I'm sure many within that 58% who support marriage equality will show up to vote. If Tony wants to hyper-motivate social conservatives in the GOP primaries so that the party nominates the Rick Santorums and Steve Kings of the world top the tickets in state and national elections, then he can have at it. The fact of the matter is that a GOP that wants to win more general elections than it loses is a GOP that will grow up and put away the metaphoric boxing gloves that it has long directed at LGBT people's lives and loves.
