Um, because no one's saying it's "better," NOM Comm Director

1m1w marriage has no bigger fan than myself. If you invite me to your man/woman marriage, I will shout the loudest "mazel tov!" when the glass breaks, raise my glass the highest at the cocktail hour, dance until I'm the tiredest on the dance floor, gift you with the finest thing on your registry, and send you off on your honeymoon with a mix of both trip-envy and delight. I love a wedding. I love love.

I didn't name my site Better Than You because (a) it doesn't spell out G.A.Y and (b) because I don't believe I'm entitled to better rights. The media does not cover "why" 1m1m or 1w1w marriages are better than 1m1w because no credible activist is making this case other than maybe as an anecdotal quip. The only "side" trying to dominate is the one that is trying to discriminate (i.e. NOM and its staff).

On the other hand, the media does make the case that marriage equality is inevitable because, well—the media likes to report facts.
