FRC: Inclusive Boy Scouts at war with God; will ruin lives, destroy society

by Jeremy Hooper

The latest round of Family Research Council "Prayer Targets"

By embracing such “change,” the Boy Scouts would become a pawn in an effort to advance an agenda at war with the God of the Bible. We who read Scripture know this radical social experiment will lead only to ruined lives (Rom 1:27) and societal destruction (Jude 7). The advocates of this policy fail to perceive or understand the seriousness of their sin (Mt 18:6; Jn 10:10).

Over the years, millions of families have entrusted their sons to the Boy Scouts. Scout families must now demand that the National Councilmen be “good shepherds” over those entrusted to their care. Each member of the National Council must be strong and courageous, holding fast to their Oath — to be “mentally awake and morally straight,” now, when it counts. Aggressive prayer is needed to strengthen the hearts of each of the 1434 National Council members who will vote on this matter May 23rd. [

Gee, why would a national organization concerned with its sustainability ever want to distance itself from such reasonable thinking? [::writer rolls eyes, shakes head, looks for his merit badge in snarky condescension for outrageous claims that pit his life and love against society itself::]

Let me remind you that the Family Research Council is leading the charge to keep the scouts anti-gay. Working with John Stemberger and his "On My Honor" crew, FRC is coordinating (along with Shirley & Bannister Public Affairs) the national strategy pertaining to the upcoming BSA vote. I was just on a conference call last night where Stemberger and his crew laid it all out there: FRC is the big dog in this game. So don't think this crazy rhetoric is detached from the on-the-ground fight. This is the opposition movement.
