Second Republican Senator comes out for marriage equality; Mark Kirk joins Rob Portman on right side of right side

by Jeremy Hooper

HUGE:

Republican Sen. Mark Kirk Endorses Marriage Equality [Buzzfeed]

Pagebreak-280

**Where we stand: Seven Democrats [Mark Pryor (AR), Bill Nelson (FL), Tim Johnson (SD), Joe Manchin (WV), Mary Landrieu (LA), Heidi Heitkamp (ND) and Joe Donnelly (IN)] and forty-three Republicans (all but Portman and Kirk) have yet to sign on to equality. Both independents (King and Sanders) are on board.

Grand tally: We have fifty for equality and fifty who are either against or have yet to weigh in. Wow!
