More rumormongering from Illinois' anti-equality crowd

by Jeremy Hooper

I've already shown you how the Illinois Family Institute is pre-gaming a potential loss by spreading rumors about our side buying votes for marriage equality. Then there' NOM's Jennifer Roback Morse, who is already slapping a"Judas" branding on any lawmaker who allows his or her vote to be "bought." Now here's even more from what is clearly a decided-upon strategy on the other side:

Leaders of the African American Clergy Coalition (AACC) today are appealing to Governor Pat Quinn to refrain from offering pork projects to legislators in return for a “yes” vote on SB 10. This comes after unnamed legislators informed the AACC of legislative bribery tactics being used by staff members of Governor Quinn’s office to lobby legislators. Specifically according to one legislator, a bridge and an extension of an expressway was assured in exchange for a “yes” vote on SB 10. (via NOM)

Well of course it was an "unnamed legislator" who told them this. But if I had to guess, I'd say it was likely Rep. LastDitch Effort (R-LossesArePilingUpSoWeHaveToPointFingers). She's always talking crap about us.
