NOM's 'anti-defamation' spokesperson: Christians are supposed 'to be belligerent'

Damian Goddard, the fired sportscaster cum anti-LGBT activist who the National Organization For Marriage chose to lead its "Marriage Anti-defamation Alliance," on how Christians are support to behave against "enemy combatants to the culture":

So wait—we are supposedly "defaming" Goddard and NOM through our equal marriage rights and their fair implementation, but the "anti-defamation" front man is directly telling his followers that they are supposed to be belligerent? That's either stunningly hypocritical or it's a clever way for Mr. Goddard to rile up more situations that he can twist into NOM's now-definitive campaigns of martyrdom.

And then if we react to said belligerence by standing our ground, Mr. Goddard and his NOM team will of course turn around and say, "SEE, SEE—they've infringing our rights!" We can't win in what is, quite simply, a push for suppression. By design, Mr. Goddard is crafting a scenario where he and his like-minded allies are always the victims, even if they get hostile and aggressive (their belligerence born out of necessity, natch).

The strategy won't work, of course. But I guess we who are branded "enemy combatants" should be on guard, lest any of this unchecked belligerence lead where deliberately harvested belligerence so often does.
