Tony Perkins: Gay Boy Scouts run counter to science, nature, human history

by Jeremy Hooper

Tony Perkins on the Boy Scouts decision:

"We do need to reach out in love to everyone. You know, we allow everyone into our church and we want everyone to come into our church. But we're not going to celebrate someone who is engaged in a behavior that we know runs counter to the teachings of scripture and human history and to science and to nature. We're not going to celebrate adultery. We're not going to celebrate polygamy. We're not going to celebrate promiscuity. And so why should we celebrate homosexuality? And that's what they're calling us to do"

Don't worry, gay boys—no actual science was involved in the making of this denigration.
