NOM lying about where PA voters stand; also, grass still green

by Jeremy Hooper

Some polling shows a majority:

The most recent Franklin & Marshall College poll reinforces those results, showing support for gay marriage among Pennsylvanians to be growing with 54 percent in favor, up from 33 percent in 2006, and 41 percent opposed, down from 60 percent in 2006. [Post-Gazette]

Other recent polls show a plurality:

Pennsylvania voters are divided on same-sex marriage, with 47 percent in favor and 43 percent opposed. [Quinnipiac]

All polling shows a near-even split, with marriage equality getting the edge. And of course the trend lines speak to that edge increasing every day a PA citizen reaches voting age.

But leave it to our ever-deceptive National Organization For Marriage, in words attributed to president Brian Brown, to just make up data in order to claim that majority support is on their side:

It's data that of course comes from NOM's favorite polling firm, Outta My Ass & Thin Air. Their most trusted source!

No word on what other things NOM will lie about by talking at their supporters rather than encouraging all to swim within the waters of reality. Although I do hear they have an explosive "Romney defeats Truman" headline they've been dying to publish.
