She has a (scientifically unsound) dream: MLK's niece equates homosexuality with high blood pressure, sugar diabetes

Coretta, who presumably knew Martin Luther King's heart better than anyone, believed her late husband would today be a strong supporter of LGBT rights. But as for niece Alveda, who has turned into a career social conservative? Well, she thinks King's dream involves "freeing" gay people from homosexuality, the same way one might save someone who was born with high blood pressure, heart trouble, or diabetes:

Well one good thing: if homosexuality is like diabetes, Ms. King sure is doing a nice job keeping sweetness far away from the subject.
