Truly insane NOM post claims the govt. will soon sue anti-gay Americans
Because of the purposely anti-intellectual strategizing of folks like Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Gov. Bobby Jindal, and various conservative commentators, those of us who tried to have an adult discussion about a certain reality TV star's choice to make unfortunate comments during a press appearance had to spend undue time explaining why a business' decision, whatever that decision may be, is not a free speech matter because it doesn't involve the government. Now leave it to one of the most disingenuous special interest groups of all time, the National Organization For Marriage, to not only beat the dead horse that is the Phil Robertson story but to literally suggest that it is a harbinger for an American government that will, in fact, sue people like this well-paid TV star.
NOM has since deleted the post (it was here) but not before I saved a local copy. Marvel in the depths to which this increasingly desperate (and seeming cash-strapped, judging by the countless fundraising begs of recent) is willing to go:
**UPDATE, 1/9: NOM reposted it. The link is now active.
