IFI's Laurie Higgins calls for Putin style 'gay propaganda' law
On Friday I wrote a piece for GLAAD in which I argued that many American anti-LGBT activists, judging by their own words and stated goals, would surely push for a draconian "gay propaganda" law like the one that has cast such a pallor over the Sochi games if they felt like they could land one here at home. Today, aggressively anti-LGBT Illinois activist Laurie Higgins (who I actually cited as an example in my GLAAD piece) confirms my suspicions:
Agents of change,” secure in their tenured positions in public schools, share a certain esprit de corps with totalitarian regimes. They all hatch plans sub rosa to control the beliefs of others. Unfortunately, those victims—I mean, students—happen to be other people’s minor children.
Until our publicly subsidized educators relinquish their white-knuckled grip on curricula with their de facto enforcement of censorship, perhaps we need an anti-propagandizing-to-minors law.

Or the IFI could just move to Russia, Laurie? I mean, you all have already lost most (if not all) of your LGBT fights anyway. Some time abroad, maybe?
