Gramley grumbles yet again
In an attempt to discredit the offering of domestic partner benefits by public universities, Diane Gramley of the American Family Association of Pennsylvania says to OneNewsNow:
"For them to say a college has to offer domestic partner benefits to same-sex couples is an insult to those who hold traditional values," Gramley exclaims; "because what the university is saying is that only homosexuals, or those who believe homosexuals should get these benefits, are qualified to teach at these schools. That's the message they're sending."
Really? That's what they're saying? And here we thought they were just saying that religious-based antipathy for gay folks is not a suitable reason for a public university to deny these employees of benefits. But what the hell do we know?
Other sound logic we can expect from Ms. Gramley in the coming weeks:
-By allowing a performance of Hair at the campus theatre, universities are offending the follicly challenged
-By providing space for an atheist group to meet on campus, universities are offending God
-By offering two weeks paid vacation, universities are offending those who think that all work and no play "makes Jack a dedicated, conscientious boy"
-By offering a tuition waiver for faculty members' dependent children, universities are offending those cash-strapped parents of high school-aged kids who interviewed for, yet neglected to land, a job at the school
-By offering paid maternity leave, universities are offending those who can't/ don't want to have children
-By offering meat in the cafeteria, universities are offending vegetarians
-By offering disability insurance, universities are offending the careful
...and finally:
-By offering classes that encourage rational thought, tolerance, and non-extremist reason, universities are offending the American Family Association

Your thoughts
The sad thing is, some of those points in blue might actually be true... ***pulls a face***
(AFA, I'm looking at you...)
(Oh, and the atheists group one... lol)
