Pro-Life? ... Pro-Gay? ... Pro-Publicity? ::ding,ding,ding::

by Jeremy Hooper

In Maine, Republican lawmaker Brian Duprey (pic.) has introduced a bill that would forbid a woman from aborting a fetus based on projected homosexuality. Duprey says the bill is designed to protect unborn children in the future, in case a "homo-gay gene" is discovered. Vouching for the necessity of the measure, Duprey says:

"I have heard from women who told me that if they found out that they were carrying a child with the gay gene, then they would abort. I think this is wrong."

Ya think?? Who are these women and why are they allowed to reproduce?! Legislation forcing these monsters to tie their tubes would be a more productive use of political power.

Actually, this whole thing just seems nutty. Although we would usually support any measure designed to protect homo-gays (even in an unborn state), it seems this measure is less about gay-rights and more about a press-hungry politician trying to divide Democrats.
