Texas House 'fosters' ignorance

by Jeremy Hooper

The Texas House of Reps. gave approval to a measure on Tuesday that would both ban homo-gays from becoming foster parents as well as remove a child from a home if the current foster parents are found to be of queer orientation.

The mind-blowingly discriminatory piece of legislation was introduced by Rep. Robert Talton, who tells the Austin American-Statesmen:

"It's a learned behavior, and I think a child . . . ought to have the opportunity to be presented to a traditional family as such. And if they choose to be homosexual or lesbian, then that's their choice when they turn 18."

...and then we'll gas their nelly asses.

Someone wake me.
