Atlanta police officer allegedly offends gays and cockroaches

by Jeremy Hooper

While being stopped for cutting through a park after hours, a group of gay men in Atlanta claim that a local police officer called them "cockroach faggots" and said that they "were to here to clean [them] out of the bushes so that children didn't have to see them in the morning."

The homo-gays claim they were crossing through Piedmont Park as a shortcut home from the local bar, and that they were unaware that the park had closed hours earlier. The Atlanta Police Department (who have a GLBT unit), are said to be conducting an investigation into the incident.

We couldn't reach anyone at the Atlanta PD for a statement, but we were able to speak with the president of the National Association of Gay Cockroaches who is calling the incident "more offensive than a can of Raid."
