'The Equal Right Show with Mark Leno'
California Assemblyman Mark Leno has announced that he plans to resuscitate attempts to legalize 'mo marriage in the Golden State, by attaching the measure to legislation already making its way through the state Senate. By using this strategy, known as "gut and amend," the measure would have the opportunity to make its way through Senate subcommittees and then the Senate floor, before heading back to the Assembly (where it originally failed by four votes). If it were to successfully jump through all of these hoops and obtain the signature of Arnold, then Cali 'mos could be heading to the chapel faster than you can say "joint tax return."
If it fails, then Cali gays can continue the practice of walking down the aisle in the cold recesses of their overactive imaginations. Win-Win, really.
