'Mo marriage support may lead church to defect UCC

   The pastor of Wollaston, Massachusetts's Union Congregational Church says that his 70 member congregation will likely leave the United Church of Christ due to the denomination's resolution supporting gay marriage. The pastor, Rev. John C. Swanson, tells the Patriot Ledger that he feels the church's decision to back gay nups is an example of the denomination straying from the words of the Bible.

However, we hear that the congregation will continue to get haircuts, shave, eat shellfish, and purchase blended fabric garments, despite Biblical warnings written with much the same weight as those that are oft interpreted as condemnations of homosexuality. Pick/choose, pick/choose...
