CA: 'Suspense' fills Bill as possibility of marriage approaches

by Jeremy Hooper

AB 849, the proposed bill to allow gay marriages in California, has been placed on the Senate Appropriations Committee's "suspense file," delaying its hearing until August 26. While waiting for its big day, we hear that the proposed legislation will spend its remaining "suspenseful" moments of unwedded freedom boning every proposal, amendment, and measure in sight. Though once he successfully allows himself to do so, it's nothing but blissfully wedded monogamy from there on out for Bill and his hot new hubby Law.
