Grand Canyon State 'mo marriage update
The Arizona Together Coalition, a group banding together to fight the state's proposed gay marriage-banning amendment, claims they are on their way to earning around $2 millions dollars for their radio and TV ad campaigns. According to the AP, this gay-friendly windfall has put more pressure on the Center for Arizona Policy, the anti-gay 'yang' to ATC's 'mo-friendly 'yin,' as they attempt to spread their 'if queers get hitched, your hetero marriage will turn to sh*t' message o' fabricated nonsense.
The anti-gay side has until July of next year to collect 183,917 signatures, a feat that if accomplished, will put the measure on the November '06 ballot. Meanwhile, the pro-gays will have the same amount of time to collect 183,917 Pez dispensers, a feat that if accomplished, could put them on a November '06 episode of Food Network's "Unwrapped." This endeavor would really help their team none, but would at least provide a super-cute distraction to their opposition's fervent attempts to legally sanction inequality.
When life gives you a proposed piece of Constitutional cow dung, take on a kitschy hobby. Oh, and also support the Arizona Together Coalition!
