Musgrave freezing marriage-banning endeavors; hell freezing over?
Marilyn Musgrave, the House Republican who sponsored the proposed Federal Marriage Amendment (or federal pile of cow feces, as we like to call it), has announced that her queer marriage-banning efforts will be put on hiatus while she focuses on her reelection campaign. Musky says she will take a sort of "wait and see" attitude as gay marriage is debated at state level, telling the AP:
“We’re kind of waiting to see what happens. There is overwhelming support for marriage to be defined as the union between a man and woman. We’ll see what happens before I run it up again.”
Of course if "what happens" is that she's voted out of office, the only thing she'll be "waiting and seeing" is whether or not it's a Barbara day on "the View;" all she'll be "running up" is her credit card at Dress Barn; and the only marriage she'll be able to define will be that of her own.
