Ruling: Misspelling, disagreeing with Falwell deemed kosher

by Jeremy Hooper

A Virginia Appeals Court panel unanimously ruled Wednesday that the deliberately misspelled, deliberately critical of Jerry Falwell website Fallwell.com does not violate the anti-gay minister's trademark, reversing a prior pro-Falwell ruling. This decision means that Fallwell.com can continue operation, though it unfortunately also means that our own case against booty-complimentary site GoodAssYou.org now seems pretty much f**ked.

Fallwell has 14 days to either appeal the decision to the full court, or to come to the realization that he lives in a free country where both dissenting viewpoints and erroneous spellings deserve protection.
