Venti triple non-fat homophobia with an extra shot of intolerance

by Jeremy Hooper

They're at it again kiddies! The "pro-family" armies fighting to force corporate America into a queer-free existence have found a new target in the Starbucks coffee chain. This latest outrage comes courtesy of our ol' poker buddies at The Concerned Women for America, who highlight two main reasons for their new "concerns."

CWFA Point of contention #1: On the back of certain Starbucks cups, as part of their "The Way I See It" series, is a quote from openly gay Armistead Maupin reading:

"My only regret about being gay is that I repressed it so long. I surrendered my youth to the people I feared when I could have been out there loving someone. Don't make that mistake yourself. Life's too damn short."

CWFA Point of contention #2: The company provided support to the San Diego Gay Pride Parade.

The nerve of them.

To expound on all of the gay-friendly things they dislike about the coffee Gods, "Concerned Woman" Robert Knight sits down for another of his little chats o' propaganda with fellow "woman" Martha Kleder. Go have a lil' listen for yourself...

...then contact Starbucks and encourage them to stand strong against these extremely distasteful attacks on equality, fairness, and Frappucinos.

**UPDATE: Baylor Univ. requests their Frappucinos queer-free [G-A-Y]
