Cali Senate green lights queer marriage bill; Expect 'Sin'ate headlines to grace 'pro-family' sites by evening
In a historic 21-15 vote, the California Senate has become the first legislative chamber in the nation to approve a bill that would legalize same-sex marriage. The queer nups-allowing legislation will now head over to the state Assembly, where a gay marriage bill was defeated by only four votes this June. Here's hoping that over the summer, at least a quartet of those who Assemble have:
a) not acquired any cancer-causing sun damage
b) watched Big Brother 6, because this season's been really good
c) come to the realization that despite what our opponents would have you believe, homos merely want to get hitched, not destroy the free world
Scratch our marriage-desiring backs, those who Assemble, and there very well might be Bachelors Party invites in your futures. Atlantic City, buffet dinner, all the free drinks you can stomach. Think it over, lawmaking kids.
