From 'ex-gays' to 'ex-sh*tholes': Focus on the Family to be part of 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition'

by Jeremy Hooper

According to their website, the "focused on queer-free societies" folks at "Focus on the Family" will participate in this weekend's episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." This of course means that the "extremely made over" home will no longer allow for back door entry.

In a press release detailing their involvement with the episode, the FOFers say:

"Both the show’s producers and sponsor Keller Homes invited Focus to contribute after learning the unique background of the episode’s beneficiary, a local family of eight.
Focus will provide a complete family library of video, audio, and print classics for this homeschooling family.
"

Upon reading this, our first thought was that the sponsor's name, "Keller Homes," should have been offset by commas. Our second, more depressing thought, however, is that ABC has provided yet another reason to piss off the gays. Thanks again, Alphabet net.

***UPDATE: The production company is now denying any real connection to FOF, and the FOFers were neither featured or thanked in the episode. Looks like it was a whole bunch of FOF-created nothin', meaning, for now, we can still watch "Grey's Anatomy" with a clean conscious.
