Yet another "pro-family/life" activist claims Katrina shat from God
Joining the "New Orleans is to blame for its own woes" sentiment of Michael Marcavage and others, yet another militantly anti-gay "leader" is now spewing his own wildly inappropriate thoughts. Agape Press quotes the Reverend Bill Shanks (pic.) of New Orleans's New Covenant Fellowship Church as saying:
“New Orleans now is abortion free. New Orleans now is Mardi Gras free. New Orleans now is free of Southern Decadence and the sodomites, the witchcraft workers, false religion -- it's free of all of those things now." God simply, I believe, in His mercy purged all of that stuff out of there -- and now we're going to start over again."
Not to mention bacteria-less land, corpse-less streets, peace of mind, the ability to sustain life, and the myriad of other "stuff" of which much of New Orleans is now "free." It would seem that he takes less of a sniper and more of a shotgun approach to purging, Shanks' God.
